Driving & Other Things

Recommended Posts

car.gifThis question might sound unimportant but being a mother of three and having a husband who travels a lot I can't help but wonder if it is safe for me to drive right after surgery, I know I drove very soon after my C-section maybe like 2-3 days but that's I think a bit more prone to reaping due to the stress on the lower abs. And last I wanted to find out what does the doc usually say regarding the sex quarantine? love.gif Is it safe to not adhere? What was your experience and what do you think? Thanks!!!

As for driving, I was told as long as I had been off of pain pills for 8 hours or more then I could drive if I needed/wanted to. I didn't "need" to drive until about 5 days post-op, and was off pain meds by day 3, so it all worked out good.

As far as the other, I would just recommend listening to your body. If you are in pain still, you most likely won't enjoy "it". And I also recommend going slow the first time so you don't pull/stretch anything abdominally.

My surgeon didn't want me to drive for thirty days, but there was absolutely no chance of that happening. I had surgery on a Wednesday and drove myself to work a week later.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
