I am presently doing the couch to 5k program. I like it because I start off slow and easy and work my way up. It is working well for me.

I did a few 5Ks and 10Ks before the surgery. I just tried to run as much as I could rather than do one of those run-walk programs. I would end up walking a bit during my races, but still finished with a decent time (30 min 5K). Give yourself at least 3-4 weeks to train if you've never run before.

I'm doing the C25k as well -- it took me forever to get the ability to run week one, but now I"m loving it. They also have a 5k run training page as well (different than the Couch to 5 k) -- I think they recommend that you are able to run 15 - 20 miles per week for 6 months before running a 5 k -- but since I've never run one (yet!), I don't know if this is uber conservative or not . . . :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
