My husband and I went out to dinner tonight. I was debating between two things on the menu. I thought to myself oh I will have that next time. Half way through dinner it hit me, there isn't going to be a next time for awhile. I am having surgery in a month. When I got home I was going through the mail and my pre-op diet had been sent to me. I was happy to see that I only have 3 days of Clear Liquids pre op and can have Protein Shakes with skim milk during those 3 days. Wow this is really going to happen soon.

There will be a next time :) Just won't be for a while LOL- I had my sleeve on 9/7 and can eat just about anything now, just only a few bites- I love it! Congrats, and wish you well!

I promise it won't even seem like an eternity before you can have bits and pieces of your favorites. You're doing something absolutely amazing, and I promise missing out on those fattening, icky meals for a couple of months is totally worth it. One of the most surreal moments during my losing stage was realizing that I was enjoying the experience of a dinner out with my family instead of worrying about what I could order and stuff myself with off the menu, and steal off the kiddos the plate. It was amazing to just sit there, eat until I was satisfied, and enjoy the company and conversation with my family. The other great thing was realizing that I wasn't missing out on anything even during the losing stage because I was so focused on Protein, and feeding my body for maximum burn, that food is now fuel, and my body runs better when I feed it good quality foods. You'll love seeing the pounds drop, the inches shrink, and all the perks that come with weight loss to even realize that you can't eat all those foods that us to the point of having surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
