5 Days Post Op...

Recommended Posts

Well, I was sleeved on the 19th of Oct. They let me come home on the 21th. They had to take my gall bladder while they were in there so I do not have to worry about that now. They removed the drain the day of release. Was not bad. Just need to continue getting in the fluids small sips at a time. Too fast and it will let you know. I am sure that is will get better in the coming days. Insidse am sure are swollen and will take time to get back to some kind of normal status..What ever that is. Tomorrow I will start with the walking plan. Did not want to jump the gun to fast but I am ready. Don't go back to work till next week so gotta start getting stronger. Thanks for all the support from this forum. Will keep checking in and posting my successes.. Move over on that bench I am on my way...

Connie

Congratulations!! Just be patient with yourself. For the next few months there is a huge learning curve. Don't get discouraged when you think things are going wrong.

Yaay for you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
