Yay! Onto full liquids....wait...what does that mean?

Recommended Posts

I'm onto full liquids but what does that even mean? Can I take a chunky Soup like chicken noodle (for example) and blend it up till there aren't any big chunks and eat that? I'm going to GNC to get some shakes today so I know I can have those. Is yogurt full liquids? I could drink it through a straw. I wish I had a Costco/Trader Joes around here for the peanut powder and the yummy shakes :( Enough ramblings.

What did YOU eat during your full liquid phase?

No sugar added yogurt was on my full liquids list, but I don't think it's necessary to drink it through a straw. I was just told to make sure there were no chunks of fruit in it. Other things that I could eat were cottage cheese, pudding (sugar free) applesauce (sugar free), grits, oatmeal, and cream based Soups (with no chunks in them). I tried most of these and for me, they weren't okay but I was also pretty nauseous this entire time.

I did have some yogurt on my full liquids stage... however it was kind of a shock. Just take it easy with any new phase you're going through and be patient with yourself. I would wait a while on blending up chickens in Soups, etc. until you know you are doing really well with your fuller liquids.

Just take tiny tiny bites, and wait a few minutes between each bite too. Listen to your stomach to see its response. You'll get there!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
