New Hampshire Facilities? Rates? PCPs?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new to the area and have decided to do the Lap-Band. I have some questions and wonder if anyone can help.

I've narrowed it down to CMC (Manchester), Portsmouth or Emerson (Concord):

1.) In your experience, which facility is easiest to work with? Which requires the less hoops to jump through, has the best staff, facilities, etc.

2.) I will most likely be a self-pay. Does anyone know what the estimated charge will be?

3.) Could someone recommend a PCP ? Someone fat-friendly?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

If you are willing to go to Concord (which I understand just started the program) then why not go the extra 15 miles and go to Boston???? You have your pick of the finest hospitals in the world. I'm using Tufts NEMC but there is also Brigham & Womens, BIDMC/Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center to name 3. And you don't know till you try about your insurance. Unless you don't have any at all. Go up to the "search" button at the top of this page. Look under Boston.

BTW I don't know a thing about the NH hospitals at all. Good Luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
