New Surgery Date!! October 23rd here I come!!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I will be getting my sleeve in 21 days and I am planning on cutting back on my food intake starting tomorrow! Has anyone had better luck with this method, Basically I am going to just eat smaller portions until the 16th when I start my liquid diet, this way it won't be such a huge change! Anyone have any suggestions and ideas for the liquid diet, also what methods did you take before the liquid diet? I also read some people were talking about Protein Shakes from Trader Joes, I am a huge fan of that store, so what would be good to grab from there for pre-op and post op?

Thanks for any suggestions...getting excited and nervous, I see that's the pretty common feelings!!

Gratz on getting a date for so soon.

Be careful not to buy too many Protein powders, etc. ahead of time as many people's taste change after surgery.

I don't have a Trader Joe's where I live, so can't help with that. But, I'm sure someone else can.

Best of luck with your surgery, keep us posted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
