Did you get to keep your band?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering you follks who had your bands removed if you go to send it home as a "consulation prize" kinda like the little stuffed animals you overpay for at the fair? I'd like to see the little crudder that's made me miserable for 5 years!!

I was going to ask my doc if I could keep my band..... that little bugger was a blessing and a curse and I want to keep my eye on him :-)

I didn't even think to ask. I probably would have had a voodoo curse ceremony over it (if there even IS such a thing :D) and then burned it if given the choice!

This made me laugh, because I was mad I never got to see/keep the part of the stomach that was cut off to make my sleeve. It was MINE!

I'm definitely keeping my band. I'm going to buy a mason jar and label it "The Big Mistake". LOL :)

I named my band Pamela several years ago after Pamela Anderson. It's made mostly of silicone and saline and can be very bitchy depending upon the hour.

I asked my doctor if I could have it and he said I wouldn't want it. I guess there may be some kind of health issue involved?

I have my band. I keep it on my dresser. I like seeing it since I spent 10 grand on that mistake.

So LOVING this! I was self pay for my band and it has been nothing but a BIG waste of money. I will have to ask my doc if I can keep it and see what he says! I am so glad I am not the only one who thinks the band is a JOKE.:)

I would have loved to seen my band.......but the surgeon sent it back to Allergan, the maker of it. This is so great to find others like me!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
