Finally! Major Goal Reached - No Longer FAT! Er, overweight!

Recommended Posts

Whooppeee!!! Yahooo!!!!! It's official! As of today, I'm Normal (whatever that really means!). At 159#, my BMI is 24.9 - barely normal but I sure don't feel fat anymore! I never thought I had so many bones!!! I haven't hit my "official" goal of 150# - YET but it's coming, without a doubt. I've lost 95 pounds total since my VSG on Jan 25, just over six months!!! Only 9 more to go! Woo! by far, the best decision I've ever made for myself. Not only was this the easiest weight ever lost for me (of several hundred over the years) but I am unbelievably optimistic about the future and keeping it under control. Life is fantastic!!! If you're on the fence about this procedure, all I can say is Run, Don't Walk!!! Do It, you WON'T regret it, I promise!!!

Last but not least, thanks to all of you guys on this board for your support and information, what a fantastic resource we are to one another.

Yay!!!

C

Congrats Carol, that is so great and I totally agree with you telling people to run don't walk.

It seems like it was just a few weeks ago instead of months when we were talking about meeting while having surgery in MX and now look how great you have done. This is great.

I am so proud for you and I know Rich is proud of you.:crying:

Gotta tell Bill about this.

Have you heard from Sam, wonder how she is doing?

Hope you and Rich have a great week.

Talk to you later Sleevebuddy.

You rock! You have worked hard for every pound (I will never be able to exercise as much as you and your hubbie do.) Thanks for being a cheerleader to those of us who came along after you. 9 to go!!!!!!!!!

Hooray! I'm right behind you -- I started out as a lightweight so I'm losing fewer pounds, but I also hope to be "normal" by my six-month surgiversary next month!

Thanks for leading the way!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
