Hello everyone i'm 27 years old and i had my VSG on the 19th of July and as of tomorrow it will be 3 weeks post op for me. I have lost a total of 18.5 pounds up to now but there's a wild twist to my story that might shock some of you. I found out around a week or so after my VSG since my period was late and i read about many of the girls here have had problems with your periods post op, i decided to go ahead and have one of them home pregnancy tests and oddly enough it came out positive!!!I've been married for about 18 months now and to tell you all the truth we didn't really plan on concieving until at least a year post op. This is my first pregnancy and I have no complaints other than i was a little terrified at first because i figured out that i concieved around a week before my VSG so i went to my gynecologist and he assured me that everything will be fine and the baby would not have been affected by the general anesthesia. i will keep you all posted as i go through my journey :svengo: :(

i'm six weeks post op now and i feel aweful!!!i'm constantly tired and dizzy. I began vomitting two days ago and my stomach hurts whenever i eat anything, actually it hurts regardless whether i eat or not. I discussed this problem with my doctor(VSG doc)and he prescribed something to slow down the acids in my stomach, but when i went to my gynacologist he prohibited me from taking ANY drugs of such nature. So, i'm pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place :001_tt2: my gynacologist said i can only continue to take my Vitamins.< /p>

Basbosa,

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Have your surgeon and gynecologist been able to talk to come up with a plan together? I pray the best for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
