Oh my Chef...... Please find out what that is. That;s not good you are falling down. I hope you didnt hurt yourself. Let us know what the Dr says.

Wine- I have not gotten sick yet. Started on stage IIII. I ate lunch meat this evening and it felt weird like it didnt want to go down but I didnt throw up or feel sick.

I'll be at SSF tomorrow morning too! Maybe I'll see you at the lab or on the 3rd floor. Hope everything gets sorted out quick!

That sounds awesome, thanks for the recipe!

Dargar- tuna was good- 3 crackers and 2 oz.

1 can = 3 meals :D

Lee- my tests came back normal... besides drinking all day long... I am going to make effort in eating

the protein today, shake has 54g and lunch will be tuna...

Dinner-

I am making a lasagna today...

going to grill veggies (red peppers, onions and zucchini)

then cook ground turkey, add seasonings and chopped spinach. when cool add ricotta and parma cheese.

then layer the grilled veggies where pasta should be, ricotta meat mixture, sauce and mozz. cheese.

3 layers with sliced fresh tomatoes on top

bake it up...

Hey Wine,

I'm only 4 weeks out, but I haven't gotten sick yet. I've definitely eaten too much and felt super full, but nothing has really upset my stomach. I've probably eaten things I should have too, but had to try it. So far, no ill effects....really wish I could have a salad though! The nut told me I need to wait another 2 weeks before I can have a salad :(

Is there anyone out there who didn't have vomitting after surgery? I REALLY hate it!!

I'm really happy to hear that there are some who did not have vomiting. I have fought it at all costs for as long as I can remember and can't even remember the last time it happened to me. I'm a wimp. :) I'm getting pretty excited. I have my Lifestyles class at Richmond next Wednesday and then next Thursday I have my first appointment with Dr. Im. I have no idea how my progress on the pre-op diet is going. My husband has hijacked my scale and I have no clue where it is. So next Thursday will be a surprise to me. I wonder if they will have a scale at the Lifestyle class? Also, I am writing down everything I eat in my food journal, do they check it? Because today I didn't totally follow the pre-op plan, I went low carb today but still followed the diet minus the carbs. Am I going to get in trouble for that? I really liked it and might do it for a couple more days, to trick my body up.

Tanya

Dargar-

needs alot more mozz. between layers... to hold it together... I skimped...

was more like a meat veggie pie..

Sing and dance-

I'm tall and have very short hair... slightly sunburned from my lazing in the pool this week...

please say hi...

Hey Tanya,

It sounds like you're doing great on the pre op diet! SSF was a little different and didn't require us to have a food journal. They recommended it, but it wasn't mandatory and they never asked to see it. I'm really bad at that, so it was a good thing for me. Did they give you a specific number that you need to lose before surgery?

Drinking a lot of fluids can cause electrolyte imbalance. All of the sodium is washed out of our body. When I'm drinking a lot and eating low carb I have to take a potassium capsule. Leg cramps in the night tell me when I'm out of wack.

I threw up the entire second month. I had difficulty keeping things down. Then it got better. I barely remember it.

Neil, I couldn't keep tuna down until around month 5 or 6. I found it to be tough on my Sleeve. Same with eggs.
