Is either the pain killers or that you're allergic to some medication.

Good to have you back!

Allergy is a possible..... check all your meds, or how about the anaesthetic? Thats has to work out your body..... I know my skin goes really dry which I can only put down to that and the air in the hosp.

I took a massive jar of body cream with me to cope with it and have been ok.

Good luck and don't scratch too much!!

Kathy

If you are taking pain meds, try to see if the itching worsens soon after you take it. If so, tell your dr and ask for something different.

I'm extremely itchy too. For me, it's just the narcotic stuff in the painkillers (I'm taking lortab which is basically liquid vicodin.)

I also got a few reddish itchy spots where some of the adhesive bandages and dressings were, since I seem to have developed a sensitivity to adhesives in the last few months.

My hubby was itchy all over for about a week after his surgery. We don't know if it was from the anesthesia or maybe the nausea Patches he was wearing. It wasn't the pain meds because he's still on those but the itching has now stopped.

chewable benadryl worked wonders for me. I always get itch with narcotics.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
