It happened!

Recommended Posts

I remember someone posting that they wanted to run into their old boyfriend. Although I really never thought about that, I have been very embarrassed over the years to see people I had not seen in many years because of my weight. BUT THEN IT HAPPENED. Friday in Wal-Mart, I rounded the corner and there he was. It was so nice to see him and feel like I looked decent! We talked about 20 min.

Isn't that a GREAT feeling! I weighed about 110 in high school. At my 10 year reunion, 240!!! I was so depressed to go but I am one of the class officers so it was expected that I be there. Three more years for the 20 year reunion and I want that wow factor now! I want to be healthy and happy!

Congrats, it sure is something small, or so it seems, but those little victories are the ones that reinforce your decisions and add motivation!

That must have felt great! I am definitely on the other end right now. When I see someone I haven't seen in a while, I definitely weigh more than the last time they saw me. I'm looking forward to when I would LIKE to run into people :thumbup1: :001_tt1: Glad you got to have that experience.

There are definitely people I've avoided over the years b/c of my weight. I imagine it felt good to feel that confidence. You and I are like the same beginning/current weight loss I noticed, and 40 lbs is huge to me. It isn't bringing me to my 'high school weight', but it is a big huge difference from 220ish.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
