Well, I finally got released from the hospital, yay! Some gas discomfort under my ribs..gas x almost makes it worse:(. Sipping constantly..protien is super hard to get down. I have a little buyers remorse, but am sure it will subside later.

Hang in there Girl!

I was the same way with the "Buyers Remorse" too.

You did the right thing and you will begin to feel better as soon as your stitches come out.

I did anyway....

Wish you all the best!!

Big Big Hug!!!:)

You'll feel much better in a day or two and you'll be so happy with your sleeve in another week! :sad0:

Day 3 was the hardest for me too. I was running a fever and I thought "what did I just do to my body", but day 4 was so much better! My husband said,"You seem like a whole different person today" and every day since then has been better and better.

Thanks, y'all. I'm up and down..being able to pass gas helps so much :sad0: I didn't get much sleep inthe hospital so I'm hoping i will tonite. I think my major problem today was I took one of my meds, pristiq that says not to crush. But my docs insisted it was ok, I don't think so, it gels up and gets spongy in liquid. I took about 3/4 of it today and felt terrible ever since. So I'm not taking it anymore and will call my pcp tomorrow. Everyday will get better !

Hey there txaggiemom! I will be hopefully be doing surgery with Dr. McDaniel in the very near future. Just finished my nutritional consult yesterday and have the psych part on April 06. Are you pleased with your decision to use Dr. M? How was your experience?

I was very happy with Dr. Mcdaniel and his staff. His PA is great. I really can't say anything bad about the whole situation. The hospital is very nice and they really know what they are doing.

There is a support group that meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at a church on Holly. You should come. I went the first time before I had my sleeve and it was very informative. Most of the people in the group are Gatric bypass patients, but their are a couple of us sleevers and I think as time goes by there will be more and more of us.

The meds issue is a pain : ) I didn't like the idea of crushing any of my meds or even breaking them in half. I was swallowing them whole around day 3 or 4. I did take a couple of back meds for pain and a muscle relaxer on about day 6 or 7. I was very sick to my stomach that entire day. I probably didn't take any more for almost two weeks. Now I can take them without any problems, altho I do still usually space meds and Vitamins out, just to be careful :001_unsure:.

Hope you are doing well !!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
