I will tell you this, I had not had anything like foamies or anything until I had my pills whole. The ONLY time I have had any issues are when I take my pills and I was told to wait 21 days. If you haven't started mushies yet, definitely don't... If you decide to do it anyway, take small sips with you pill and wait a few mins in between each pill and see how it goes! Not pleasant!

What if you take a medication that is time release (you can't crush them-nor if you could should you!)

I am thinking of the sleeve (have a band HATE it) Did anyone keep taking medications that couldn't be crushed? I can not stop taking these meds!

D.

I know there were a few members on here that had to switch their prescriptions temporarily from time released to regular, and adjust their dosages.

I hope they chime in soon.

I am one of those who had to switch from XR to those which could be crushed/cut into small pieces. Another option is if you have a RX for 40 mg - see if the pharmacist can give you twice as many in a 20 mg - generally they will be smaller and easier to swallow -- that is what I am still doing with my prilosec.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
