IT'S TIME! Getting sleeved in the morning!!!

Recommended Posts

Arrived in Mexicali today, completed all my tests at the hospital, met Yolanda & Dr Campos, had my "last" meal tonight at the hotel & am now in my room relaxing with my hubby! Thought I'd be a lot more nervous, but instead am calm, cool & happy with my decision! I met two other very nice people who will be having surgery tomorrow as well & think we will create a good support system for one another in the hospital!

Looking forward to life on the other side!!!

That's awesome Kai - congratulations - and it will be so great to have others on the wing with you - helps to make the days pass quicker if you can get up and visit or have someone to go walking with. Keep us posted on how you're doing when you feel up to it.

(Try not to get the last room on the right - the internet reception isn't all that good)

Thanks all! I'm still in my hospital room waiting my turn in the OR! Had a rough night last night, as I got a Migraine & was vomiting all night up until a couple hours ago when I was given something. Feeling great now though & hoping it continues after surgery!

I will try to post later today to update you all. Thanks again for all the kind words.

Vegas - I got the room opposite the far right & have GREAT internet! lol

Well it's a done deal! Surgery went very well apparently & I am in little pain, mainly discomfort on my drain side. I was out of bed as soon as I got out of recovery & have been doing circles in the hallway in a rotation... walk, sit, walk, lay, walk etc. So, so far so good for me. I understand day 2 is the worst, but I won't focus on that I'll just focus on continueing my progress from tonight. I got this far, I can get through it all (I hope!).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
