My tummy actually growled ! ! !

Recommended Posts

I'm about 5.5 months post op, and have still not felt true hunger. I knew it was time to eat because I would get grouchy, or just kind of feel blah.

Anyways, I always take my Prilosec in the morning, wait an hour, and have Breakfast. This morning was no different except I got distracted renting a car online, and mapping our trip to West Virginia next week that I forgot to eat at the 1 hour mark.

2 hours passed, and my tummy growled so loudly it actually scared me. It was an amazing feeling, and it sounded pretty cool.

I ate some cream cheese, a slice of ham, and 3 sociable crackers. Yummy ! ! ! I still didn't feel "hungry", but knew that I needed to eat. Just thought I'd share.

Isn't it weird, when we were fat, (I still am, but i digress), did our tummys ever growl or were we so full all the time and kept feeding ourselves that we didn't know true hunger? It's funny how you say you scared yourself with a tummy growl and then still didn't feel all that hungry. . . that is so amazing!

Tiffy, You forgot to eat! That is what my thin friend says to me all the time. She forgets to eat. Forgets. to eat.

I want that to happen to me . At least once in my lifetime.

Forget to eat. What a concept.

I can easily forget to eat, but there is not much time to get in all the Protein and fluids, between work tasks, etc...so I have to constantly be mindful to be sipping or stopping for a meal. Once I'm at goal I won't feel bad about forgetting though.

Tiffy, I heard my stomach growl last night. My hubby looked at me and laughed. He was eating popcorn and wanted to know if my tummy wanted some. Lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
