So many NSV's this last week. I am at a loss for where to start, so I won't.

I'll go more towards the end. It was a small victory, but one that sorta dawned on me after it'd happened.

Had a perfect week....ending with a long night. Next morning light was harsh and scolding. lol.

I needed coffee. Blessed coffee. I knew just the spot and they had just the right brew. Next, I needed a place to hole up and sip a bit.

An inviting looking nook but the chairs looked liked they'd been made for a little girl's tea set. lol.

No way I'd fit....and no way it'd hold my big arse.

I did........ it did........ and that was some good damn coffee with a nice breeze coming through and the sun on my face. Peaceful times. Serene.

So you all know I've been swimming in the cesspool that is online dating. People don't go on "first dates" anymore, they go on "meet and greets". I feel so old. I get it, though, you're not stuck sitting through a dinner with someone you have nothing in common with.

Last night I had a first meet. We went to the park near my house, and all of the seating areas were full. They converted part of the park to a skateboarding area, so it's a lot busier than it used to be. My date suggested sitting on a grassy hill. My first thought was, am I going to be able to get my happy arse up off the ground afterwards??

I pretty much hopped right up when we were done talking! I was grinning like a mad woman!

So it's a half nsv/ half sv...I'm only 20 lbs from a "normal" weight/bmi...I don't remember the last time I could say that. It's funny because I am really quite pleased with my weight now, my personal goal is just 3 pounds more, and now I am a bit curious...just a nice "dilemma" to have :)

I just realized I'm posting in the wrong forum...I just saw nsvs and got excited lol.

The scales hasn't really moved. But I just tried on a size 10 jeans! I fit!!!! That's always been a goal I wanted to reach. I've never been a size 10 even as a teenager. Always a 12 and up. I asked my mom how they liked and she said, I think they're a little loose! So tried on a misses 11, and it fit too!!! Was a little snug, but not tight!! I can't believe it! Size 8 here I come!!!

LMAO.

I wouldn't have been caught dead wearing shorts for the last several years due to the staining on my lower legs from crappy circulation.

It is the sole reason I've been going to the tanning spot.....just to camouflage the stains with a tan.

Now.....for the first time in many years I am wearing shorts in public.

This pic as taken this past Tuesday morning as I was leaving the tanning spot.

Bad looking varicose veins and scars all over both knees from football field mishaps.....I couldn't care less. Comfort is gong to be had this Spring & Summer. Shorts will be worn.

Getting rid of this weight feels so damn good. There is zero downside to being less fat. So damn grateful. So far yet to go, but truly happy with the decision to have the sleeve surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
