Post Op Weight Loss

I know we aren't supposed to compare.

I know this is a marathon and not a sprint.

But I have to confess to being totally frustrated.

My progress has been so slooooooow. I was hoping for a kick start the first month being that almost three weeks of that was just liquids, and then it would level off to a slower but steady progress after that.

I lost more on my pre-op diet eating a heck of a lot more than I am now and I wasn't even exercising.

The last two and a half weeks I've barely eked out two pounds. At that rate it is going to take me two years and there are people on the boards doing it in 4 - 6 months. I did not expect that to happen since I'm a so-called 'lightweight', but I didn't think eight to ten pounds a month was too much to ask for.

I'm so disappointed.

I'm not expecting answers, I just needed to vent to someone.

Yeah, that one. Don't konw what happened to the link.

Anyway it's called the "Tanita Ironman Segmental and Full Body Composition Monitor" and it "only" costs $300! :thumbup1:

$300.00!!! Oh no, I am not paying that much when I never know for sure if standing on it is going to make me happy or mad.

If you go by a Jenny Craig center, I am sure they will sell you one. Theirs is a Tanita brand too.

I wonder how much they charge for theirs?

We don't have a Jenny Craig , here in the middle of nowhere, where I live.

Yeah but we've got them in LV and you'll be here soon ... leave room in your suitcase! Or you can always have it shipped to your house

I am looking forward to being able to track my muscle mass and hydration levels.

Since I'm maintaining, stepping on the scale rarely makes me mad any more so that's okay.

Oh way cool. $100 is way better than $300.

Maybe VA can get me a deal since she said she's a member of JC

If they still have me in their database .... that was a WL excursion years ago...

You say that like they are different prices for the same thing. :lol0:

$100 is only better if it's buying you want you want. I went cheap on my HRM and I was sorry and now I have to get another one.

Let's put it this way, when it comes to scales, I want the Lexus, not the Ford Focus. :001_tongue:

 I am a lifetime member (seriously) I can look also if anyone wants. With what I paid I better still be in the damn database.......

That's what I was thinking too ... I think Daisy and I will drop in there while she's here and see what happens ...

Do you think it's just as good as the one that Mac is talking about?

Do you think it's just as good as the one that Mac is talking about?

No I am sure it is not; however, most of us arent running a triathalon and don't need to know all of things that Mac wants to know -- I would be happy to know weight, water weight and body fat and that is what the scale Ruthi go at JC's does for you. It's also $50-$100 vs. $300 so of course it's not going to be anywhere near the quality of the one Mac wants.
