I decided to let him die at home, his vet doesn't have an appointment available but suggested we just come and wait to see if/when she can fit him in. That doesn't sit well with me, I don't want to have him in a crowded waiting room for hours when he could be comfortable at home. He's unresponsive, no longer whimpering and just in a deep sleep. This is what I prayed for and it seems God is answering my prayer. Thanks for all of your compassionate messages, they've really helped me. Animal lovers are some of the best people in the world and I'm glad that so many of you understand my grief. I've told him it's okay to let go and I don't have a single doubt that he knows how much he is loved.

I'm so so sorry to hear this. I didn't see your post yesterday, but now, reading through all of it, I'm in tears. I had to put down my cat years ago, and though she lived to be over 20, it killed me. To this day, 13 years later, I still think of her & well up with tears. My dog is now 5 years old, and I could not love her anymore than if I gave birth to her :-) I tell her every day that I love her TOO much, and that she has to live forever. My husband knows that when her time comes, I will be inconsolable.

You gave Chester a beautiful life, and he was lucky to have you. I'm so sorry......all of us pet lovers know how you feel. In time, the hurt will fade, but Chester will always be with you.

So sorry about that. I recently had to put 2 of my elderly pups down and I didn't think I would stop crying it was like losing a family member. Hope the other babies adjust okay. :-(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
