Finally feel in control

Recommended Posts

I have been really struggling for a long time, a year at least. I lost all my excess weight and gained a lot of it back. I had a colonoscopy and to prepare had to do a 2 day clear liquid diet. That was Mon. and Tue. I decided to use it to kick start a healthy eating pattern. So far it has worked. I have been eating well and working out. I think I saw that I could tolerate some hunger and not give in. I also got my act together in terms of a clean house, laundry done, healthy food in the house et... That seems to help me stay on track eating wise. I weighed myself yesterday for the first time in months, I just couldn't handle seeing the number. After a few days of being "good" I got on. The weight was the lowest I was hoping for so that was great. I am eating the way I will for the rest of my life. I think I have finally realized what I've known in my head, lifestyle change.

Funny how cleaning physically helps us "clean" mentally too. If I ever tell my sister I was scrubbing the tub she says "what's wrong?" Lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
