Help! Too tight?

Recommended Posts

I had my 5th fill this week and I tell you, I'm not hungry but I also can't keep much down. What is this white foam I keep spitting up too? I definitely can't eat or drink much. I'm eating ice because its easier to keep down. I have been trying to finish 8 oz of tea for 2 days. I keep reheating it :-). One friend just said give it a few more days. What do you guys think? I like what the scale says though. I'm down 8 lbs since my fill Monday. My fear is dehydration.

Your fear is warranted. You are definitely too tight and need to have a small unfill ASAP. Dehydration can happen surprisingly quickly and can be serious so this definitely isn't something you can wait to deal with.

Call your surgeon ASAP.

You are too tight and I believe you know that.

Can't eat much

Can't even drink much

Foaming

Fearing dehydration

Yet you think it's worth it because you are losing weight..............................

I would tell you how dangerous it is but I am sure you know that already so I won't waste my breath

Thanks ladies for the hard words, I guess I was waiting because I thought I was too tight when I got my fourth fill. I was scared and scheduled an unfill, but before I could get in to see my surgeon later that week I began to eat more and could keep things down. I was thinking that would happen again but I have a headache this time and the foam thing.

--I would take their advice--

question: Is the foam what others refer to as "slim"?

Yup, sounds like you're definitely too tight. Get it taken care of now because it will only get worse...

No I've the slime before when I have gotten stuck. This is just like if I lay down foam will start coming up and I am spitting a lot

Yes, too tight. Ive been there and waited thinking it would get better. Problem is that the band area gets irritated and swollen and then a small unfill wont be enough so you end up taking 2 steps back instead of a half step back.

Take it slow after the unfill. I stayed on Clear liquids for the rest of the day and Protein shakes etc for another day before going to soft foods for a day. My doctor said it takes a day for the swelling to go down but I wanted to be cautious. Follow your doctor's advice though so if he wants you to be on a longer slower protocol.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to update you that I got my unfill today. I'm so glad I listened to you guys I feel so much better. I could tell right away, even from just drinking Water. The crazy thing is I lost 12 pounds since Monday. The weight loss is great but not at the expense of how I was feeling. Not eating, no nutrients, was barely drinking. So again, thanks! It made me stop waiting and act sooner than I would have. You guys are the best. He had only given me .50cc, and he took out half of what he gave me. It made such a big difference.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
