Pre op diet and short fuse?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else noticed they are dead tired and have a very short fuse while on pre-op???? Today is day 7 and if you have been near me, looked at me, or if I think you looked at me I'm grumpy. No it's not PMS. Worse.

I definitely had that when I was on the pre-op diet! I was just so hungry a good deal of the time, I think it's nearly impossible not to get grumpy! Hang in there though - you'll make it, and it'll be worth it! :)

This is why I took the week after surgery as a vacation. I knew that I would be a bear on a liquid diet, and my doc's protocol called for a full week of Clear Liquids post-op. Thankfully - nobody got hurt, I had plenty of time to adjust and by the time the week was over, so was my grumpiness. Never has a Protein Shake been so appreciated as when the doc said "Stage 2 for you!".

I notice that I am very tired...and maybe a little snappy but I am trying hard to take in this experience with some level of excitement so I dont get fearful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
