After almost 6 months, I finally hit ONEDERLAND while on vacation in Florida! I had to stop at Bed, Bath & Beyond to find a scale (thanks Creekwood!) and stepped on, then stepped off, then back on to make sure of what I was seeing! I'm beyond excited, but not only about the number on the scale, but about how my life has changed since I decided to get healthy. I've learned to LOVE exercise, especially running. Who knew??!! And I've also learned to control the food and not let the food control me. It's such a wonderful, liberating feeling. I'm also so very grateful for the friends I've made here as well. There have been days that I wanted to quit trying, felt frustrated or just made poor choices, but I can always count on my friend Catfish to keep me motivated or inspired to keep going and never give up. But most of all, I'm just excited to have my life back and to enjoy it a little. I'm a happy girl! :D

I read your post and it made me think of a song from the movie Flash Dance, "What A Feeling". Congratulations and I prayer I will know that feeling too someday.

Question out of curiosity...what was your weight when you started running or jogging?

I started running at around 215 I think. When I first started, I could barely walk 10 minutes on the treadmill. I just started adding time and speed each time I walked and before I knew it, I was running. I love it. I try to add just one minute to each workout and it really works. Most of the time I cover the monitor with a towel so I don't focus on the numbers, but let my body tell me when I'm done. I NEVER thought I would enjoy it, but I do. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
