I finally feel my restriction!

Recommended Posts

I am in heaven! :clap2: :whoo:

I got my second fill yesterday and can FINALLY feel restriction! I know it might be premature, and it might not last, but this is the FIRST time I've felt any restriction at all. It's not too much, but I fixed myself a 1/2 cup of egg beaters this morning and could only eat half of it.

I'm enjoying every second of this! Just had to share my excitement....

for as long as it lasts. Hooray for my new best friend (my band)!

Wow, that's great!! I got my first fill two weeks ago and I felt restriction for a couple of days. I even lost 3 lbs. in the week following. However, this past week, I haven't lost anything and I don't feel as restricted as I did right after the fill. I've heard people on here say that fills might not kick in until the 2nd week or so. I'm just wondering if I should go back to the doctor if I don't lose this next week, or wait until my scheduled visit on May 30??? Any advice out there??? Thanks!! :-)

Greta,

I was rather dissappointed after my first fill on 04/06. I felt restriction immediately after the fill but by that night I was famished! I stayed hungry up until my fill yesterday, which was a struggle. I managed to lose 2 lbs (only) between the two fills. Considering how hungry I stayed, I'm just glad I didn't gain weight. I kept waiting for the restriction to "kick in" but it never happened.

I'm not saying this to discourage anyone because everyone is different. That was just my experience. This explains why I am SOOO excited about this fill!

Leatha,

I'm going to take your advise and stick with Proteins, Water and exercise!

Thanks to everyone else for your encouragement!

Hello everyone!! I just wanted to share a little information. I went for my first fill May 3rd, I felt a little restriction the first 2 days and then nothing about a week later BAM!!! i have restriction. I couldn't believe it. The only problem now is, I find myself wanting to eat small amounts all day long. I'm really having to work at not eating inbetween meal. I'm getting a gallon of Water in a day and have lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks. Some progress is better than none for me!!!

I had my first fill on last Thursday, May18, 2006, and before leaving the docs office they scheduled me for my next fill for two weeks...June 1, 2006. Based on my response to my first fill will determine the amount of the fill for my next appt i.e. did I stay full, did it take less food to get me full, did I keep my food down etc... Good luck!

I have a 10 cc band and was given 3 cc. This was under fluro and at 3.2 cc the liquid was coming back up so they removed .2 leaving me with 3 cc.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
