The black one was named Lucy, short for Lucifer(hehe), she is no longer with us, but the calico is named Baby and she is now around 6 years old.

We dont have any children other then our four legged critters. Animals are so awesome because of their unconditional love. You can be having the worst day and a little love from one of them and things don't seem as bad. The white and red one is Pepper, rat terrior we have had for 5 years. Black and white one is Ladybug she is 1 year old, and our beloved kitty (who loves my hubby more) is Crybaby, she found us about 2 years ago. She and Pepper travel with us all the way from Oklahoma City to Anchorage Alaska, in January 2005.

Post `em if you got `em!!

I'd post mine but there is no URL for them.

P-Nut. I'm sorry for your loss. I can very much relate. They are family and I have dogs and cats 20 years passed that I still miss, like any family member gone.

I have a yellow lab named Casey. She was a rescue with pups. We got her from someone who had gotten her from her rescuers and couldn't keep her. She is a big baby, spoiled rotten and loved alot. We got her a month after my black lab, Jazz, died from cancer. She has helped to fill a big void. lbtpics.doc

Black & White Female's name is Sylvester AKA "Trouble", Grey & White Male is our only son named Mouse AKA "Old Man"; Calico Female's name is Julie AKA "Fat Cat".

My first cat was a female Siemese named Panda. She was an adult cat given to me by a friend of my parents. She was a great cat! We had her 10 years when she died of kidney failure. Fortunately at the time we had 8 other cats to console us.

When I got my calico six years ago I was suprised when my vet told me all calicos are female, since then I've realized all calicos I had known and have met since are female....I wonder why that is.

Not all are females, but the majority are. Males occur in about 1 in 3000 calico-colored cats and are typically sterile. For odd genetic reasons, it takes two XX chromosomes for a cat to be calico-colored. So, a male calico-colored cat would require two XX and one Y chromosome, hence the rarity.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
