I agree. I have finally completed all my testing. Has been almost a two year process for me because I had no other underlying conditions like sleep apnea etc. Also, insurance denied me because my Bmi was off by like one point. I have gained 100 pounds in the last 15 years due to pregnancy, losing my mom and having breast cancer. I am so happy that my appeal was granted and I go to the drs May 23 and will hopefully get a surgery date. Very very nervous about pre op diet. I did not do well on the medi fast diet years ago and I obviously love to eat. But I no longer want to look like this, feel tired and achy all the time - it affects every part of my life. I will keep everyone posted. I am so thankful for this site.

I saw that tonight too and was very proud of him. He is a great guy and deserves the success. He was already looking really good.

Gov. Christie had the same surgeon as I did, Dr Richard Boorse. In Allentown, PA at LVH, he was even on the news last night. Good Luck to him!

I think that as long as he is successful with his weight loss that more insurance companies will cover the surgery.

I originally was going to fly to Mexico as a self pay but I wondered how and where I would get my fills after surgery. As I was worrying about that my insurance decided to pay for my surgery, I was thrilled!

Therefore, if Christy is successful more insurance companies will cover it. At least I hope so!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
