I agree. I have finally completed all my testing. Has been almost a two year process for me because I had no other underlying conditions like sleep apnea etc. Also, insurance denied me because my Bmi was off by like one point. I have gained 100 pounds in the last 15 years due to pregnancy, losing my mom and having breast cancer. I am so happy that my appeal was granted and I go to the drs May 23 and will hopefully get a surgery date. Very very nervous about pre op diet. I did not do well on the medi fast diet years ago and I obviously love to eat. But I no longer want to look like this, feel tired and achy all the time - it affects every part of my life. I will keep everyone posted. I am so thankful for this site.

I saw that tonight too and was very proud of him. He is a great guy and deserves the success. He was already looking really good.

Excuse my mispelling of any words like in my previous post.Im such an idiot lol.Well my preop diet was only 5 days because my dr had to go out oftown. i drank 4 chocolate slimfast 20 gram protein drinks and a small chicken breast. it was fine.I started trying to get approved in january at 242 pounds and i got surgery 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Had my first fill today.im on liquids till tomorrow.then i can eat mushies. you will be fine.and congradulations on your approval.

Gov. Christie had the same surgeon as I did, Dr Richard Boorse. In Allentown, PA at LVH, he was even on the news last night. Good Luck to him!

I think that as long as he is successful with his weight loss that more insurance companies will cover the surgery.

I originally was going to fly to Mexico as a self pay but I wondered how and where I would get my fills after surgery. As I was worrying about that my insurance decided to pay for my surgery, I was thrilled!

Therefore, if Christy is successful more insurance companies will cover it. At least I hope so!
