I was banded on 4/11 and have been so hungry for the past two weeks that I have given into temptation... Now I'm at the point where I feel like I am failing at having the band and thinking maybe I shouldn't have gotten it! I have

not lost any more weight since moved to full liquids and I'm suppose to get my 1st fill on Thursday but I'm scared to do that since I hear they are painful. So confused......???ž

luckly I had 4cc in on day of surgery so every 2 wks I went in for another (total of 3) for a green zone of 6.5cc and no head hunger so hang in there its coming its just around the corner this is the hard part for us all but it is so worth it.

This happens to most. Keep track of what you are eating. Don't lie! It will help if you use something like MyFitnessPal. I love it because it tells you what you should weigh in 5 weeks if you keep doing what you are doing. It is very motivating. Keep drinking as much as you can. Make sure you are getting dense Protein in to help keep that full feeling. Drink, drink, drink. That helps too. Just remember why who did this. All of the horror stories I have read on other forums really helped keep me on track because I don't want to have problems. Please try to follow the rules to help maintain a healthy band. You do not want to have problems. Find other things or healthy things to do/eat when you get this cravings. I did a lot of reading, extra exercise, celery with Peanut Butter. Find what works. You can!

I shall not tell a lie yes I have and it happens so I hear. I read somewhere on here someone said we should not beat ourselves up for doing it and that we should take notice of it and then do better the next day or meal. So that is what I am doing. It is a new change and we have to crawl before we can walk. I hope this helps good luck to you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
