I'm going to have to get the kink in my tubing fixed afterall. :(

I went in for my second fill today and they could get the fill IN...just not out. I had the same problem during my first fill and they put me under flouroscopy and saw where it looked like the tubing was kinked. Today the doc said he wants to fix it. Maybe as early as this Thursday! I will let you know how it goes.

I asked the doc if it was something I did to myself or didn't do...and he said NO...that sometimes your body heals and the tubing just moves.

Received 1cc in the band today.

How do they fix the tubing? Another surgery?

Yes but under sedation rather than full anesthesia. They go into the large port incision and literally pull at the tubing until it unkinks itself. Blech....trying to keep positive. I know these things can happen......they just seem to happen to me.

That stinks! I guess the silver lining is that it sounds like it will be a very tiny cut and not hurt too much. So sorry you have to go through that. Good Luck!

Sorry, they would have to knock my ass OUT for that!!!

The other day I had the strangest sensation. I don't know if I had gas rumbling around in my stomach or what but it was reminiscent of when I was pregnant and the baby was kicking inside my stomach. I could feel the port moving around a bit. VERY uncomfortable. I can feel that port right under my skin and at times it protrudes a little, too. I go for my first fill tomorrow and am hoping it's all normal. Scary, all these new things....

My band baby moves a bit too. That "baby kicking" feeling is something I have felt as well. Not sure what it is....it is a little alarming but my doc says it's normal. Well normal for banded people I suppose.

Good luck with your fill. It will help some with the hunger. The fill is the easy part...lol. Just remember to eat slow and chew well.

Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
