It's entirely possible because it does put pressure on the vagus nerve.

However, you are also very recently out of revision surgery. That alone will take a toll on your body.

Do you get enough Protein?

I would also get a full blood panel done. Things like low B12, D3, Iron, potassium, and blood sugar can also cause this. This way you can rule out a treatable medical issue.

Here is what your doctor is talking about, btw. It's actually not serious and it can come on any time during life with or without the band. Both of my kids have it (they don't have bands): http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/vasovagal-syncope/DS00806

Honestly, I really wouldn't. 99% of the time it's no big deal. Like I said, both my kids have it (makes me think it's genetic on their dad's side). They just have to be careful getting up too fast or standing while over-heated. It's actually really common. Hundreds of thousands of people have it they just don't realize what it's called, they just go "oh got up too fast!" and go about their day not giving it a second thought.

Vaso-Vagal Reflex is what you're speaking of. Your symptoms could be so many things that are easily remedied.

Dehydration: lowered hydration = less blood volume = low blood pressure which can make you feel lightheaded, dizzy, etc.

Calories: are you eating enough and is it nutritionally balanced?

Be sure to follow up with your doctor if your symptoms continue.

Are you on blood pressure medication? I had trouble with this right after surgery. Turned out my weight had dropped enough to regulate my BP, but I was still on the meds, making my BP too low. Just one possibility...

Not on BP meds, eating and drinking regularly since the band is deflated.......

thanks everyone for the input

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
