I haven't had one tum's, zanex or a hit of reflux or indigestion since the day I started my pre op. From what I understand nighttime reflux is a sign of something wrong with the band.........go see your dr.

As the others have stated, reflux is usually a sign of being too tight. Do not ignore it or things will only get worse and lead to other likely complications!

I had some issues with acid reflux PRE banding. Not so much as a single Tums since. I agree with the above. I eat some very spicy foods too.

Speak to your doc for sure. Sometimes reflux can mean you are to tight, sometimes it is you are over eating, sometimes it doesn't have anything to do with the band.

My mom has hyperactive acid producers in her stomach and has taken meds for years. She just had a hernia surgery and also had the reflux surgery- she is worlds better.

If you are currently having sinus problems like me tell you doc that when you tell him you are having reflux. The only time I seem to have reflux is this time of year. The pollen starts falling and I get a horrible post nasal drip that is more like a post nasal river- this causes coughing, sore throat and reflux. Doc has checked me out and all is okay. But it is always best to talk to the doc.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
