NSV - wedding anniversary in the saddle!

Recommended Posts

29 years ago today I married my best friend. Today we are closer and happier than ever. We have stuck together through thick and thin (fat and skinny:)

So how did we choose to Celebrate our anniversary? Well, a 100km bike ride seemed like a great idea as we are starting a four and a half day charity ride over 460km this week!

Unfortunately, due to bike problems, we had to finish up at 75km but that is still 74km further than I could have ridden two years ago.

BTW - yesterday was my two year bandiversary - down 63kg and living life to the max!

Well done. Is this the same ride that you did last year?

Isn't it great to be able to ENJOY riding. Congrats to you on your anniversary. Best wishes for your continued success and happiness.

No, last year's ride was the Great Victorian Bike Ride. This was the Bayer Lions District 201V3 Ride for Sight and it was a fantastic experience!

In four and a half days I cycled 478 kilometres burning 17,742 calories and exercising for a total of 28.25 hours. But I'm not game to try and work out how many calories I consumed thanks to the 20 Lions Clubs that hosted us along the way!

I came home at the same weight as I left, so I am happy about that.

Plus, as a group, we raised about $50,000 for research into preventable blindness.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
