Hello.

Today i'm 4days post op and the day i was allowed to move to the liquid diet (i think this is how is called- my dr calls stage 3 diet). Which consists in yogurt, blended/strained Soups, juice, milk, cottage cheese, cream of wheat/rice.

So, my question is, could i cook some Soup at home? I had some condensed creamy chicken soup for lunch today (diluted with milk), and even if tasted delicious, im not happy as being canned, packed of sodium and chemicals..

I was wondering if i make my own chicken soup with veggies (or veggie soup) ican throw that in the blender and be the same as canned. (Plus the benefices of the veggies helping with my Constipation? )

Thanks for reading ;)

Yup, I cooked a big batch before I was banded and froze it so I wouldn't have to rely on canned (Which I hate).

I went to BJ's to buy the ingredients, but got super tired and changed my mind hahaha

So, i found this panera bread "tuscan style chicken soup" which has 2.5g fat, 12g carb, 3 Fiber, 13g Protein. For 1 cup..

Is that bad?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
