What is your food weakness, (demise)?

Recommended Posts

I go through phases. I can't really say what is responsible for the phase like my monthly cycle or anything, they just happen. One week I'll be salty snack crazed and I can't stay away from things like Cheetos or potato chips. Oh my.... chips and salsa, especially queso just drive me wild. Then the next week it'll be Cookies. Then yet another week will be candies, like chocolate candy, jelly Beans, Gummy bears, etc. Oh God! I've got a multi-personality appetite! Maybe I need a shrink..

Caffiene and Dove ice cream bars. I'm less than one week post op and I was given one at work today. I couldn't say no. I ate it all...milk chocalate with vanilla ice cream. It went down fine! Probably wasn't too good for me but I think my body REALLY needed something more than Clear Liquids. I've been getting bad headaches. Probably from my caffeine addiction. I haven't had real food or caffeine since 4-19-06. I hope I start getting more used to this real soon!!!

:faint: It's been 2 weeks tomorrow, post op for me. I haven't had ice cream, caffeine or anything solid for 2 straight weeks. Im not saying I'm doing great or feeling great about some hunger pangs I get while I cook, but Im starting to get used to the idea that Im not eating food.< /p>

Dr. Rumbaut gave me nice imagery. He said, "Treat your new belly as if it was a new born baby's belly. Drink only liquids and wean it on food, progressively." Something to that effect. Not verbatim.

Anything made of chocolate. I am addicted and it is a CONSTANT battle daily to not eat it. I usually end up giving in and having a small bit each day. Alot different to the family block I ate daily pre banding.

I used tolove french fries too, but I am so thankful that my band wont let me eat them now, I have tried a few times and each time i end up PBing...so no more for me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
