Day after sugery

Recommended Posts

I felt great the day after surgery but very sore and "wiped out" on days 2-7. When I woke up on day 8, I felt really good and made a swift recovery. It just took me a little extra time for the swelling to go down and the port pain to subside.

I had my surgery on A Tues and stayed in the hosp for 2 days. I was pretty beat up for the first week. Week 2 I felt much better. I was able to take 2 weeks off of work and glad I did. The day after surgery I did nothing, lay in the hosp bed and walk the halls. I was in a lot of pain from cutting the muscles. Over all im 7 weeks out and happy as can be!!

The day after surgery I layed on my couch, sipped liquids, dozed, watched movies. For some reason I was wiped out, *really* taken out by the surgery. But by day 3 and 4 I was exponentially better and I was back to work on Friday (I was banded on a Monday).

I didn't tell anyone at work I was banded so there was no special treatment, and they had no idea.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
