I just got my second fill and now have 4 c's..and when I try to eat the food gets stuck so bad I feel like I can't breath. The pain is so awful, I'm chewing the food to applesauce consistency but it's not working...any ideas?

eating too fast

eating too much

too tight????

Did you do just fluids after fill, you might want to try that, but call your Dr first and get their opinion.

Maybe it's too much Fluid in your band; some people can only tolerate very small amounts (I can only get .5 cc at a time). Usually when I get a fill I am recommended to slowly work back to solids over a couple of days. I would say, go on liquids for a day to give yourself a chance to adjust, but if you're still having issued, you may need some fluid out.

When I take too big a bit and eat too fast that is how I feel. You are starting to feel restriction, so you need to reevaluate your eating.

If you are having a hard time keeping Water down the I would say you are too tight. Best thing to do is call your doctor.

Also, your band is irritated now so you might need to do 24 hr liquids and 24 hr mushy. Just a suggestion.

Ouch. When I've been in this situation I have tried to eat different things and chew to different consistencies. Problem was, I would not wait for my band to calm down in between times. Take 6 hrs off and eat yogurt and Protein shakes. Water your applesauce down and then try again.

If it continues then call the dr. I actual enjoy the restriction I feel the first few weeks after a fill. ( once I figured out how to eat that is)

Take our words into consideration but you know yourself the best. Call your dr if it feels wrong!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
