first period since banded - killer cramps!

Recommended Posts

I don't remember ever having menstrual cramps this bad. I got home from work, took liquid Tylenol and put a hot pad on my abdomen. Hardly touched the pain. Ibuprofen has always been the only med that effectively relieves my cramps. What am I going to do without NSAIDs? How do you ladies handle it?

that is me. i have always had serious cramps. i recall in high school staying home because hurt so bad...flash forward 100 yrs...i still get bad cramps. and i use to use motrin 800 to help...cant do that anymore...i asked my dr about that and midol and he said to stick with the liquid tylenol (i get the cvs brand) or little caplets....i manage it kinda by staying ahead of the pain.....i knew it was coming so i started the meds right before......def hurts......hot heating pad/hot warm bath soothes me...hope it passes quickly for you.....i am having big pain today....i feel bad for anyone who annoys me today.

Thanks for the reply, it's too bad there isn't any magic band-approved pain killer out there. Warm bath sounds great, maybe next month when my incisions are healed. Today it's manageable.

I hope yours passes quickly!

I have PCOS and soul crushing cramps anyways, but I have noticed my most recent TOM has been even worse. I feel disabled fully balled up in bed.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
