I waited 8 weeks and I was nervous. I wanted to make sure I was healed and got the doctors ok!

I would really focus more on General cardio exercise. While you can tone specific muscles; you can't spot reduce fat. Basically doing sit ups won't make you lose fat any faster in your stomach that it will anywhere else.

My doc says NEVER! Eugh! The book about lapband (that my doc gave me) said that you could do it and it wouldn't hurt your port or anything. So I am intrested to see what other Doctors say.

Thank you for the feedback I'm looking to hear more responses as well... I'm sure there's a way with caution... I am somewhat active so I don't want to lose the ability to do some of the things that I have already been doing to become a better me

My doc has no issues with me doing situps, and said i could start whenever I felt ready post-op

I waited a few weeks i think, but started other exercises a week post-op

My Dr said 8 weeks. I'm 14 weeks post op and I still have burning at the port site during some really difficult crunches. When that happens I switch to a less strenuous crunch.

I waited 4 weeks post op. no instruction from Dr on the subject. It didn't hurt, so I did it. I have really focused on strength training since my surgery, in addition to cardio. I can tell a big difference. I'm so much stronger. You can't spot reduce, but you can turn your muscles into get burning machines.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
