Tummy tuck and breast left on Tuesday 12/18

I am less that 12 hrs away from another drastic step in my life as I go under the knife once again to improve the fabulous results that the lapband and my hard work over the last 2 years afforded me. My tummy tuck and breast lift is all set. gone will be my Jello belly and frowning belly button. The girls are getting lifted and some air will go back in the tires... I have lost so much weight that they now resemble half inflated Water balloons... Those long ones....I don't want to look like a twenty year old..... Just a healthy 52 year old woman who isn't quite done having a good life.

I received a call from the dr and the anesthologist which I though was pretty cool. Both just wanted to make sure I was ready to go and had any last minute questions. Very classy.

I have been nesting all day...at work making sure i left my desk so that i wont be missed too much....lol and at home doing things i fear my not be so easy in the coming days before Christmas.

Just took the mega dose of antibiotics that the dr gave me...took me 20 minutes to swallow the 3 caplets. My band is just a constant reminder..... And I am getting ready to take my last warm bath for a while.

Thought I would check in here as you all have become a wonderful support team and I appreciate your dedication to your health and well being.

See you on the other side....

I am so happy to hear it was nothing concerning! Great way to start the new year!

thanks you very much....So am I.. Of course last night my husband was sure I was bleeding to death... But I told him no way would I die now... I need to enjoy my new bod. ;)

Great news! I can understand your hubby's concern. I would have been scared too! I'm so envious of you and your new hot bod (in a good way! Ha!) Welcome to your year... 2013!!

I'm glad everything went well, even thou I had my drains in for two whole weeks .. Everyday I had fuild coming out . So I can imagine how much fuild you had .. I think I would have panicked and called 911 ... And my husband too !! Lol ... Feel better ASAP and take it easy ... When do you return to work ...

I'm so relieved everything is ok!

I actually had similar happen after my c-section years ago. It was a build up Fluid internally and it essentially "burst" out my incision. I actually called 911 because so much was pouring out of me (literally) I thought I was about to bleed to death.

So, don't freak out if it starts to bleed again. Mine actually oozed for a month on and off.

Glad you're doing well

Floridays, it's really awesome that you are giving us the play by play on the surgery ... I "need" it having dropped 269 so far but still dropping. Really worried about doing it so helps to get a trusted person posting ; )

Thanks

Lee

Thanks Mis. I appreciate it...I figured it wasn't life threatening but when it wouldn't stop I knew I should see the dr... Just glad it didn't come out the incissions.

My pleasure lee... I think that one of the big benefits of this forum is to be able to see first hand what others are or have gone through. Congrats on your huge loss! It's life changing isn't it?

I am very happy everything worked out so great. By you telling us what happened helps all of us for our future tummy tucks. Thank you for that.

Have a wonderful New Year with your wonderful husband.

Wow. Does it hurt? It looks very painful...Now what will do? Can you do crunches ect.?

i can resume excercise and lifting over 10 lbs in a month...I never have done a crunch... So in about a month I guess I could if I wanted to...;)

Believe it of not it's not painful on the incision line. The belly button is the only place that bothers me and I think that's because it's where everything hits...waistbands, bending etc.... Plus it's still infected from the bleeding on Monday.

The pain hasnt been bad much to my surpise. I have a whole bottle of vicodine but I have only taken two. One the first day and the other the 2nd night to sleep.
