Believe it or not, I find myself not getting in enough food and nutrients on the weekends!! During the week, I'm on a schedule and there are no issues getting everything in for the day.

Because I sleep later and don't have a structured schedule on weekends, it throws me off. I actually forget to eat sometimes!! But when I do, it's not junk. Its appropriate food. Also, on weekends we used to go out to eat and we're not doing that anymore.

Does anyone else find themselves with this problem or have any suggestions? Anything would be greatly appreciated, and I'm going to try to do better next weekend!! (I did get some Premier Protein shakes to put in mix! 30g of protein!)

Hi Angela,

I think buying the Protein Shakes is a good start. You might want to prepare meals for yourself for the weekend so you can just grab from the fridge and don't have to worry about deciding on what to make, being it is the weekend you are probably relaxing from your week and catching up on household chores is enough to distract us from eating. You can make simple light meals and Snacks.< /p>

Things I love to have ready for 'grab me' foods are - cut up celery and carrots with cream cheese and vegtable Soup mix (veggie dip) I make it myself so I don't get so much sodium in it. I love Hummas and mini pretzles or cut up veggies. 1/2 apple cut into wedges (remove skin) dipped in 2 tsp. Peanut Butter. For lunch time I buy thin deli meats such as chicken breast or ham and mix cream cheese and spinach together and roll them up and put in microwave for 15 seconds. yummmo! Hows about opening up a can of tuna fish and throwing in a wedge of laughing cow cheese (how simple is that) spread it over triscuits or your favorite light cracker/bread

However, I think the ready made Protein Drinks are a great idea :)

-I keep 42 g 300 cal myoplex shakes on hand for days like yours. I am doing 800-1000 most days but still need extra on gym days. I also have portions frozen like turkey burger, steak, turkey susage and the all favorit tuna fast and good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
