Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!

Recommended Posts

There are some great suggestions in this thread! The ones that I would especially like to see are forums for:

  • Clothing Exchange
  • BI over 50
  • Pregnancy with the Band
  • Separate Polls forum
  • Long-term bandsters (Banded for 2 years+) :) <--- this one would be especially helpful for pre-band members like me who want to read more about the long-term effects of banding BEFORE surgery!

Alternate skins for the board would be nice too! ;)

I think a section for success stories. I know there are before & after pics, but I would like to read the success stories, how long it took them to get to goal, their diet etc.

I am really having some techincal difficulties since you changed... something (?) yesterday. I cannot go to specific forums ie. Canada from my home computer - it says the web page is not available; and at work, each time I post it tells me that I am no longer connected and have to start all over. The post is getting through though.

Frustrating!

Me, too. I e mailed support and they responded that they are updating the site. Anyone else hate the new ads on the right hand side?

Yep, I do. I suggested I'd be happy to pay for a premium membership to not have the ads on my page. This site is very pricey to run (well, they all are, especially those with thousands of members, and that allow pics, bandwidth costs money) so I understand the need for the ads. I really do, I'd just like to be able to pay something to support the site and not have to see the ads.

There was a thread here a few minutes ago about the problems, but now it's gone!

Can we please have a men's section? I posted a while ago about it, and there was some positive feedback from the men here.

I know we have the men's thread, but a section to post guy stuff would be great. There are so few resources for lapbanded men and I think it would be a real copmpliment to the site.

Not a bad idea, I'll send you a PM about how to go about this.

I don't know....depends on A. how many members there are, and B. what it costs to run the site.

B divided by A should give you the answer.

A would really have to be how many members would actually pay for a premium membership.

B this # keeps growing ;-)

There are also LOTS of "drive-by" members who just post a couple of times and never come back. I'm sure many of them are reading voraciously, but would they pay? I somehow doubt it.

How about a lonely post section. I find myself looking for threads with no posts to see if I can help them. I have started some threads myself and didn't get a response and it kinda hurts a fellows feelings.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
