Lapband And Cancer

In Dec 2011 i had lapband surgery but Jan 31,2012 I had a car accident which ended up saving my life because although I totaled mt brand new car, xrays to make sure I was ok showed I had a tumor which was later identified via biopsy as a reoccurence of cervical cancer which had spread to my lungs. I WAS up tp 4CCS and doing welll with my lapband but after i started chemo I had to get it emptied. I just went for my first fill in 9 months... Basically starting over again.. Has anyone else had to Start over??

I don't have any experience in this area but wanted to stop in and wish you the best!

Either have I Loretta, but want you to know you are in my prayers for a good turn out! and now you are filled again.. you can get back on track. If you read through some posts.. there are quite a few people who have needed to start over again. Good Luck hun!

I too am a cancer surviver. I didn't do lapband til 2 yrs post surgery removal but those 2 yrs of putting down cigs and having a hysterectomy caused a great deal of my weight gain. I think the best thing out of it all is living.. We survived... I wish you the best..

Wish you well my friend.
