Considering Lapband Surgery

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I'm new to this blog and I have been reading through some of the threads and I really like the way you guys support each other. I've been struggling with getting this weight off for over 2 years and now I'm at my heaviest 224lbs and I'm 4ft 11inch tall. So I'm really excited to start this journey! Talk you soon!

Welcome to this great forum. Ask all your questions here. A forum member will give you their story and answer your questions. There are more people who have been successful than disappointed here on this forum. Almost all of us here have had issues with weight control and this extra weight has caused some of us, health issues as well.

Welcome to the group! Do your research and make the choice thats right for you. I know that for me, the band was the best decision and I am grateful for the changes in my life and weight over the past year. next month is my 1 year 'bandiversary' and I can say that I definitely DONT regret anything about it!

Thank you guys, I've tried other diets like hcg and others and I've researched other surgeries and the Lapband is the right church t choice for me. I'm just starting and I'm trying to see if my husband's insurance (Aetna) will cover it so I'm a little nervous to get denied.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
