You shouldn't let your no BM go past three days though. You need to take some thing for that. I personally was so worried about taking anything orally that I bought glycerin suppositories. Call your doc though. They can advise you best.

I lost a total of 25 from presurgery to last Thursday, now over the weekend I have gained 2 lbs. I am on mushies, but I can barely eat anything. I am in a panic. I went through hunger and pain and now I want to be on the decreasing side, seeing the scale go back up literally breaks my heart.

wow, newbies, stay off the scale.

you are so very much healing and the scale will go up and down. you guys are panicking for no reason and are not really doing yourself any good by weighing and when you do and you see it go up...you spazz..... and that makes me sad for ya.

(if you are compliant with dr's orders, you are not (((gaining weight)) merely Water and that is what you will lose).

the first month is for healing. i would suggest not weighing yourself as you are so anxious to see the numbers come off..and THEY will.

well anyhow that is all i have to say about that except congrats on the surgery.

It worried me after I had mine done. I put on some clothes that should have been able to wear about 3 or 4 days after my surgery and they were so tight and uncomfortable, I had to dig out some of my bigger clothes to wear that night and it really upset me. I was worried I had made a mistake by getting the LB done BUT 8 months and 50some lbs later I know I made the right decision. Just give your body time to heal. And before you know it you will look back and think "what was I so worried about :) "

I went on mushies Friday and have not lost since. Someone said that your body holds onto the food because it is in starvation mode. Hopefully it will work itself out. Keep your chin up

Not everyone is going to lose the weight the same way. Some lose it faster at first then others. Keep following doctors orders and it will come off. Don't get discouraged, Keep your chin up. Also stay away from the scales, we are setting ourselves up for failure when we are on it everyday. I am so thankful for this app. and each of you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
