I Feel Like I Didnt Even Have Surgery...

Recommended Posts

I had surgery on 10/25. Everything went great. Went home the same day. First day I was only able to take a few sips and I was full. Second day...I was able to drink more. On the 3 rd day I am starving and I can drink as much as I want . I am scared that I am stretching my pouch out. Any advice how much is the ideal amount of fluids I shwould be drinking at a time..I am on all clears until Friday

You can drink as much as you want most people don't have an issue with liquids its solid food! Just make sure you are not drinking your calories! Like thick shakes etc stick to plenty of Water it will help you lose your weight you are ok!!

Drink as much as you want, you won't stretch the pouch. (I called my surgeons office on that when I realized I was drinking way more than the recommended oz per meal on liquids) You are good.

Yes, drink lots of Water. This is very normal. As your body heals and the swelling goes down you will feel hungrier. PLEASE DO NOT SKIP AHEAD IN YOUR DOCTORS food PLAN. This can cause your band to slip which would be very very bad. It would be much better for you to eat the foods you are allowed more often then to eat foods you are not allowed. If you are allowed broth and Protein Shakes (made with water or fat free mik and no fruit) have the broth wait as long as you can and then have the shake.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
