Recommended Posts

Hi there...I'm at a loss and need help!! I have been at the same weight since my last fill 2 months ago. I am spitting up meals everyday. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong..do I need to change my eating habits? I have in the last 2 days gone back to Soups and soft foods. I cant eat solid Proteins without a spit up and to top it off I'm hungry! Is it that I'm not chewing enough?

HELP! I wanted this to work so bad! But I'm stuck!

Sounds like you are too tight and need some fill removing. You can gain weight when the band is too tight.

Do you log your food? I use myfitnesspal, eat 1200 calories a day, 70g Protein. I eat protein first then veggies and sometime carbs (if still hungry). 1 cup of food per meal.

Hope this helps.

Sounds to me like you are too tight. To tight and not being able to eat solids leads to lots of liquids. And when you consume a lot of liquids you dont feel like you are eating much so you have a little more. Liquids add up fast calorie wise.

If you are able to eat solid protiens it curbs your hunger and keeps you satisfied for longer not to mention.... it's just plain healthier.

To tight can lead to band slippage. Constult your Dr.

I agree with the others. You sound like you have been trying to live with a band that is too tight and you have to understand,it's really not good for you to stay too tight. People think that they will lose quicker if their band is tight, but the reality is that you can gain. I am speaking from my own experience. In the beginning, way back in 2010, I believed that tight was right. I was wrong and I ended up not losing well because I was eating slider foods trying to keep my blood sugar consistent. You need to be able to eat real food, not soft or mushy. That's not the way you are meant to live.

Take their advice and call for an unfill. There is no shame in asking to be looser.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
