6 Cc Fill Limit?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm new to the forums but have been lurking and reading for about a year?

I had a fill yesterday and am now at 6cc's. The PA told me that "they" don't

recommend going over that....I wonder if anyone else has had this recomendation...

Thanks.....

I've never heard of such a thing. In fact, if I were in your shoes, I'd question it and challenge it. Everyone's anatomy is different so everyone requires different fill levels. Saying they don't want to fill anyone over 6cc, despite having say a 10cc band, seems downright ridiculous and illogical.

Don't be afraid to ask your doctor questions and speak up for yourself :)

she didn't say they wouldn't fill me anymore than 6 cc's, just that it's not

recomended by her? I don't know about the other PA's...

just have to wait and see.... it's just suprised me b/c I've never heard

of it before.....thanks

I think some people just pull arbitrary figures out of the air with no scientific basis for how they came up with them

I think what your pa is trying to say that with each fill the band gets tighter therefore there are more risks involved, or the risk increases. Such as band slippage stomach erosion etc....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
