My Lapband got tighter as far out as 2 weeks later from my fill. Im sure others will join in to say that if you cant keep food down no matter how tiny and well spaced apart the bites are, then you need to call your doctor.

If you can't keep anything down and you're overfiiled you're in the REDZONE, if you're pbing everything that is going to spell trouble for you. Yes we all need restriction but not to the point you can't keep anything down, you will do more harm than good. The definition if restriction is not what you are experiencing. Be wise, call your doctor as soon as you can and get it sorted out.

Gabby, if you are going to wait till next week to call your doctor I suggest you go back to liquids for 24 hrs, then mushies for 24 hrs. If you have trouble keeping that down you are probably too tight. Your band is currently irritated from you getting sick (why I suggest liquids).

If you do ok with the liquids/mushies then slowly go to solids. Small bites, chew to mush and eat slow. You will need to retrain yourself. It seams I have to retrain myself after every fill.

But, if you cannot keep liquids down please don't wait till next week. It will only get worse and you could damage your band.

Good luck to you.

Just wanted to add that restriction..whicb is whag we are all aiming for..is not being so tight u can barely eat..true restriction is being able to eat various textures of food..smaller amounts and be sastiated for longer periods..yes ur band may flutuate and be tighter say in the am or during TOM.. but if u cant keep food down on a regular basis and only drink liquids you are too tight and run the risk of dehydration or slippage...i have been too tight twice and needed an unfill..dropped serious weight quickly but not healthy....just my 2 centa...beaf wishe to alll on ur journey.

Thanks everyone. I felt great yesterday and ate mushy foods and it didn't hurt I didn't vomit. Sooo happy. Today the same. I think the fill made me swell a bit and looking back at week I was stressed. Funny how our body reacts. Thanks again. I love my band talk fam.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
