The November 'band'wagon!

On June 14th I met with the doctor and began the journey of testing and evaluations. This coming Wednesday I will (hopefully) have my meeting to review my sleep study results and receive my final green light of clearance!

I am praying all goes well and that Amerihealth Insurance doesn't deny me after all these months of testing and anticipation.

I think a little puree turkey will do just fine this year for Thanksgiving… here's to crossed fingers for a November banding!!

Anyone else in the same boat? :D

That does seem strick! Mine for two weeks is four protein shakes Bariescential ..and 1 cup broth per day. It comes out to 800 calories per day. Getting excited! What Facebook page is everyone talking about?

Tomorrow I pre-register for my surgery scheduled on Thursday the 15th. I am so nervous my stomach is in knots. What am I doing??? Is this the right thing for me? I guess it's a little late to ask these questions huh? I'm so excited about the long-term and kinda scared of the short-term. I've done well on my pre-op diet, found strength I never even thought I had, experienced some days of weakness and occasional low points. Not as far as cheating on diet but upset with myself for how long I have let this go on. My husband and daughter have been all excited lately about being able to go places we normally wouldn't go because of my weight. I know I need to focus on the here and now so I will try my best not to let myself or my family down. Please say a prayer for me as I will do the same for all of you. Good luck to all having surgery soon and to all that are recovering now. God Bless!!

I Choose...

To live by choice, not by chance; To make changes, not excuses; To be motivated, not manipulated; To be useful, not used; To excel, not to compete.

I choose self-esteem, not self-pity. I choose to listen to my inner-voice, not the random opinion of others. ~author unknown~

Hello everyone...... so happy. I celebrated my THREE YEAR bandaversery this past Saturday the 10th. November 10, 2009 was my NEW birthday....

For me .... LB was the best thing i ever did for my self and wouldn't change a thing.

Advice for the holidays..... take it slow and find the mushy stuff....soup, taters, peas, avoid the meats if you can. Drink a shake before you have any dinner and when people ask... tell them you ate a late breakfast. And remember NO DRINKING WITH YOUR MEAL.....

I hope you all the success in the world.

I'm 8 days post surgery and feeling really great. Pain is mostly gone except for the occasional shoulder pain. First post-op appointment is tomorrow.

My incisions were glued and healing. They itch like crazy! I would like to put lotion on them but not sure if that's ok.

I am drinking 3 5 oz protein shakes a day, obviously that's not enough protein but I'm afraid to drink more. I think I could get at least a cup down at a time but is that too much? I'm on full liquids and kind of struggling with when to eat what? Am I making this more difficult than it needs to be?

Do you mean 3---5oz drinks or 35 oz of drink I drink a 14oz bottle of protein 3 x's a day that's it for me I get a sf pudding, popcicle or jello in between, I have had tomatoe soup but next day I have a weight gain fluid I think I think this is all trial and erro I have talked to people who say 1 day you can eat something and the next day it makes you sick just get plenty of fluids of some kind is what I was told. Good luck at the Drs.

I go in tomorrow for my band and I haven't had a full nite sleep since last Friday.
